Melaleuca MLM Review - Scam Or Legitimate Home Business?

By Brian McCoy

Have you heard about Melaleuca and are curious as to whether or not it is a scam or legitimate business opportunity? This article will give you an honest, unbiased review of the company.

1) Melaleuca Home Business

Melaleuca is a wellness based company with its world headquarters located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Melaleuca offers a home business opportunity by selling or marketing their products through MLM or multi-level marketing.

2) Melaleuca's Products

The Melaleuca product line consists of many different types of products. They include homecare, personal care, and nutritional supplements. Many of Melaleuca's products are all natural and are designed to help with a person's overall wellness in mind. Some examples given by people that have consumed Melaleuca products include statements of relief from headaches, arthritis, and inflammation based symptoms.

3) Comp Plan

Melaleuca offers its distributors a multi-level, open-ended matrix pay plan. This pay plan can be very difficult for many to understand. Another problem is that when "spillover" occurs, members can become lazy. This happens when one very hard working person places people underneath of other team members and then those members earn a small pay check from the spill. Some may get the wrong idea that because they did nothing to receive a commission, their MLM business will be easy to grow. In the end, some do very well with a matrix system pay plan, but most squander and fail.

Conclusion - Melaleuca seems to have a decent line of products. However, their pay plan is where many people get tripped up. As far as MLM companies go, the Melaleuca pay plan is not as distributor friendly as some. One thing that is just as important as a great product, is an easy to understand and workable comp plan.
